What are LED Parking Lot Lights?
A: LED parking lot lights are parking lot lights manufactured using Light Emitting Diode (LED) technology and are suitable for use in parking lot lights. In addition, what we call parking lot lights are actually general-purpose area lights. We can also use them for floodlighting or sports lighting applications, very versatile.
Why do parking lots use LED lights?
The benefits of LED technology are well known to save energy and provide better quality lighting. Here are the many advantages you should choose from LED parking lot lights:
Cost: LED lights offer lower energy and maintenance costs. Typically, LED lights have a lifespan of 100,000 hours. This means you don’t have to replace them as often as HID lights, which are about every 5 years to every 25 years.
Energy-efficient: They are 70% more energy-efficient than HIDs, saving you thousands of dollars in energy costs. (300 watts replace 1000 watts).
Light Quality: Another reason to choose LED lights is the quality of the light. These lamps offer better color rendering index ratings and are also more friendly to the human eye.
More sturdy and durable design: New LED lights are usually made of aluminum alloy, which is more resistant to pressure and drop. And the appearance looks more attractive.
Safety: LED parking lot lights are safer than traditional metal halide lamps, high-pressure sodium lamps. Installing LED lights in your parking lot will add more light, it will also make people feel safer and customers are more likely to stop.
Design parking lot lighting layout
1.In the renovation project, the existing traditional old lamps have been installed, which can be replaced
If your lot or area already has legacy lights and they’re well laid out, it’s just a matter of replacing the wattage of the old lights with LED lights. You just need to tell us what type of lamps and specific wattage you are using now, and our consultants will introduce the corresponding LED parking lights to replace upon request.
2. New installation, no lamps installed
We have professional engineering to help customers design the most suitable lighting layout according to requirements and budget.
There are many customers asking how many lights must be installed in a light pole? Usually, 2 LED lights on one pole are best, but if you want the area to be extra bright, you can put up to 4 lights on one pole.
People also ask, how far apart do LED lights need to be installed? In fact, the distance depends on the height of the light pole. The higher the light pole, the larger the lamps that can be installed, and the farther the distance between the lamps can be. Here are some experiences;
For 15-20 foot tall homes and small parking lot lights, 20-30 foot spacing is usually ideal. Lamps with approximately 12-18,000 lumens. (usually, 2 per pole is best)
For 20-25ft tall poles, 30-40ft spacing and 20,000 to 30,000 lumens,
25-35 ft tall mast with 40-50 ft spacing and 30-70,000 lumens
